WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws):
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
So, let’s get to it.
What are you currently reading?
Artifact Space by Miles Cameron (ebook)
This week I started reading an advanced proof I have of Artifact Space by the always impressive Miles Cameron, who has previous written great fantasy reads like Cold Iron and Dark Forge. Artifact Space is the author’s first science fiction novel and is set aboard a massive human trading ship in the future that finds itself under attack from a mysterious enemy. This book is an epic read in every sense of the word and I am having an amazing time getting through it. Cameron has done an incredible job coming up with another complex and captivating tale and I cannot wait to see how this excellent novel ends.
The Shadow of the Gods by John Gwynne (Audiobook)
I also finally started listening to The Shadow of the Gods by highly acclaimed author John Gwynne. I have not previously read any of Gwynne’s novels before, but every reviewer out there was losing their minds over The Shadow of the Gods, so I thought it would be worth checking out, especially after seeing this book’s absolutely amazing cover. It turns out that the collective review community wasn’t lying when it came to this book, as The Shadow of the Gods is an incredible and outstanding read. I am halfway through The Shadow of the Gods at the moment and I am already pretty heavily invested in its intense narrative and well-developed characters. This is easily one of the best fantasy novels of 2021 and I am looking forward to seeing how Gwynne ends this fantastic book.
What did you recently finish reading?
Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir (Trade Paperback)
The Girl and the Mountain by Mark Lawrence (Audiobook)
A Comedy of Terrors by Lindsey Davis (Trade Paperback)
What do you think you’ll read next?
Falling by T. J. Newman (Trade Paperback)
That’s it for this week, check back in next Wednesday to see what progress I’ve made on my reading and what books I’ll be looking at next.
How did you like “Project Hail Mary”? Someone just recommended that to my husband who enjoyed Weir’s “The Martian” and did not enjoy Weir’s “Artemis”. Have a great week of reading! My WWW: https://greatmorrisonmigration.wordpress.com/2021/06/09/www-wednesdays-june-9-2021/

I actually really enjoyed Project Hail Mary and it was probably one of the better books I have read so far this year. Hoping to get a review for it up soon but I would definitely recommend checking it out.
