WWW Wednesday is a weekly meme hosted by Taking on a World of Words, where bloggers share the books that they’ve recently finished, what they are currently reading and what books they are planning to read next. Essentially you have to answer three questions (the Three Ws):
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
So, let’s get to it.
What are you currently reading?
The Councillor by E. J. Beaton (Hardcover)
I recently started reading this cool fantasy debut from Australian author E. J. Beaton. The Councillor follows a drug-addicted palace scholar in a compelling fantasy world as she attempts to navigate the politics of her city, while also trying to determine who murdered her friend, the Queen. I am only a little way into this book at the moment, but so far it is proving to be an excellent and captivating read.
Star Wars: The High Republic: Out of the Shadows by Justina Ireland (Audiobook)
The bold new era of Star Wars story telling continues in the latest entry in the High Republic range, Out of the Shadows by Justina Ireland. This latest Star Wars novel is a young adult book that follows a fun group of young heroes as they attempt to stop the dangerous plots of the sinister Nihil. I am making some great progress with this audiobook and I am deeply enjoying the cool and exciting story that it contains.
What did you recently finish reading?
Blood Trail by Tony Park (Trade Paperback)
Starlight Enclave by R. A. Salvatore (Audiobook)
The Housemate by Sarah Bailey (Trade Paperback)
Prisoner by S. R. White (Trade Paperback)
What do you think you’ll read next?
The Noise by James Patterson and J. D. Barker (Trade Paperback)
That’s it for this week, check back in next Wednesday to see what progress I’ve made on my reading and what books I’ll be looking at next.
The Noise is also on my TBR list, I hope you enjoy it! 😀

I’ve heard good things about the Housemate but I had forgotten about it SO it’s officially made my TBR pile now (thank you for the reminder). You’ve got some really interesting books listed here. My favorite read this summer has been “West Texas Dead: A Kailey and Shinto Mystery” by author Frances Hight (https://www.franceshight.com/). As an avid reader of all thing’s crime and mystery, this book was right up my alley. What a perfect time of year for this type of summer escapism! I love any stories that stick with me after I finish and this one will stay with me a long time (for many good reasons and some really intense scenes as well). The main character’s, Kailey Carmichael and Shinto Elliot are on the hunt for a murderer after a professor ends up brutally murdered. After they initially believe they have solved the case, things aren’t as cut and dry as they had hoped. With a killer on the loose, not to mention the Mexican cartel being involved, the stakes are high! Definitely add this one to your summer reading list! If you do check it out I would love to know what you think. Thanks again!
